O Flying Spaghetti Monster
The Dan Meyer Choir has never performed religious music, until it debuted this 4-part choral anthem in 2011. Although it secretly existed for centuries, The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster only came into the mainstream in 2005. You can read their history on their webpage venganza.org. We are proud to dedicate this hymn to all the Pastafarians out there.
Lyrics:
O Flying Spaghetti Monster,
Pour now thy sauce on me,
Creator of the heavens,
The meatballs and the sea.
Thou flyest out of eyesightv
Yet thou exists, I’m sure,
For if thou were not real,
Then what’s garlic bread here for?
O Flying Spaghetti Monster,
O grate thy cheese this way.
‘Though I may be hard-hearted,
Please make me al dente.
Since thou defyest logic
To trust in faith is best;
If I desired logic
I’d be an atheist.
O Flying Spaghetti Monster,
When life gives way to death
I’ll be with thee forever:
Eternal garlic breath.
O great Spaghetti Monster,
Until that distant day
Thou art more than a sidedish:
Thou shalt be my entrée.
