About the Choir2012 is The Dan Meyer Choir's 4th year of singing to and about the bodacious city of Baltimore! In the Spring of 2012 we will be rehearsing and performing all new music commemorating the 200th anniversary of the beginning of The War of 1812. This funny, touching and educational collection of songs will enlighten you about Baltimore's role in the United States' first post-Revolutionary war.
After the smashing success of our first ever Baltimore holiday extraviganza, we will be presenting another holiday show in late 2012, featuring many of the Baltimore carols from 2011 and some new ones too.
Thank you to everyone who has come out and supported us on stage, back stage and in the audience during the last three years. Stay tuned, because, just like The Love Boat, we are "exciting and new!"
Rehearsals and Performances
The Dan Meyer Choir practices early Sunday evenings in Northeast Baltimore.
Auditions for new members will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2012 beginning at 3:00pm. Potential members will be vocalized and asked to sing a short song of their choosing. They are then welcome to sit in on our first rehearsal beginning at 4:00pm. Write to us at danmeyerchoir (at) yahoo (dot) com to arrange an audition time.
